I provide caring, confidential, professional, skilled counselling and psychotherapy to  adults.  I aim to work with you in a collaborative way, taking your preferences into account and  discussing what may be involved.

Counselling and psychotherapy offer a way to make sense of your experiences, alleviate distress and promote a greater sense of wellbeing. Counselling tends to be shorter term and focused on the here and now.
Psychotherapy tends to take longer and looks at the underlying causes of current difficulties with the aim of achieving more lasting change.

The length of time it might take for psychological treatment to work can vary considerably between people. Some people can get benefit after just a few appointments while others take longer.


I am experienced in treating difficulties such as depression, anxiety, bereavement and relationship difficulties amongst others. Examples of the kinds of areas where I can assist include, but are not limited to:
  • Feeling flat, or down about your life, lacking direction or interests.
  • Worry or concern about relationships or social situations.
  • Stress, anxiety or panic.
  • Adjustment to grief and loss.
  • Life direction, achievements or sense of fulfilment.
  • Feeling isolated, lonely or alone.
  • Family relationship worry, concern or difficulties.
  • Difficulty with workplace settings, career or colleagues
  • ​Concern about your weight and eating habits
